I lived in the Fort Wayne, IN area from the time I was born until 23. I have a wanderlust spirit, so any free weekend in High School and College, I’d pack a backpack and go on an adventure.
I tried to stay within a 3-4 hour drive from Fort Wayne!

Whether you are a Christian or not, this ark is incredible to see! The Ark and Creation Museum offers hours of facts about the beginning of the world.

I’ve not yet been to these caverns, but I’m so excited to go this summer! You can take a kayak through the caverns and see the albino animals.

There is nothing else around this monument, but it’s pretty cool to say you’ve been in 4 states at one time. It’s also free. Major tourist trap though!

Cincinnati is a great weekend place to stop. There is amazing karaoke in the local bars. You must stop at Jungle Jims on the North Side of town and get a few items you’ve never heard of before.

I did go during Halloween (which was terrifying), but this was one of the coolest buildings I’ve ever seen! You can even pay to sleep there - which I would never do.

There are great breweries and lighthouses along Lake Michigan. Try to go at the beginning of May to The Tulip Festival.

south haven, MI

South Haven, MI reminds me a Maine without the rocks. It’s a quiet little town with cute shops and lots of great restaurants. Grab a cup of coffee and stroll the streets.
